Why Is My Bread Crust Too Thick/Hard (But Inside Soft)?
Here are 3 quick fixes:
- Over-baking: Lower the crust setting to “Light” or “Medium” (instead of “Dark”).
- Too little moisture: Add 5–10ml more water/milk to your dough next time for a softer crust.
- Delayed demolding: Take the bread out of the pan immediately after baking to prevent it from steaming and hardening the crust.
